• Log in
• sudo restart lightdm
• Press CTRL + ALT + F5

How to kill a process

• Press CTRL + ALT + F2
• Log in
• ps -aux | grep myprogramiwantokill
• Take note of the process ID, we will assume 1234
• sudo kill -9 1234
