Public responses have generally fallen into TWO categories of thinking:
1)  They want to save us from our own destructive nature, by shutting down our world-destroying weapons.
2)  They are the scout force for an invasion, attempting to disarm us and leave us powerless to stop them.

Chris has a third hypothesis!
3)  They’re trying to figure out a way to DRAIN the weapons to power their jump drives and get home!

It strikes me that most of these old men are too awkward and boring to be able to fabricate these fantastic tales.  Some of them seem outright frightened to recount their stories.

In part 5 of the videos above, they state that on at least one occasion this “tampering” has resulted in the ACTIVATION of a nuclear missile.  They didn’t say whether it detonated.

UN Ambassador to Exterrestrials?!!
It was reported that Mazlan Othman, a Malasyian astrophysicist, would be taking on this role.
… Sadly, no
Apparently all based on rumor that the UN was “poised” to appoint someone to such a position, followed by off-handed remarks that Othman would be a good candidate for the job.

What if the core rumor is true, though?
What if the UN really IS considering appointing someone to this position?  Does that indicate that they know something, or are expecting something?  Does this have anything to do with the USAF press conference?
